Webinar: New Findings from Syrian Refugee in Lebanon (BIOPATH Study)

In this webinar, broadcast on 2nd July 2026, we presented three new publications on the latest findings from the BIOPATH study – a large longitudinal study of Syrian refugee children living in informal settlements in Lebanon.

This included the presentation of three publications:

  • The determinants of severe and persistent PTSD in refugee children by Dr Claudinei Biazoli (Universidade Federal do ABC, Brazil)
  • Environmental sensitivity markers as moderators of the effects of war and displacement on Syrian refugee children’s mental health by Dy Andrew May (Kingston University London, UK)
  • Beyond one-way effects: Bidirectionality of parent-child trauma symptoms in refugee families by Dr Hend Eltanamly (Utrecht University, Netherlands).
