Michael pluess

Michael Pluess

Dr Michael Pluess is a Professor in Developmental Psychology at the School of Psychology, University of Surrey, UK.

His research focuses on individual differences in environmental sensitivity, positive child development, and mental health and resilience in humanitarian crises.

His research has been published in the leading journals of the field.

Fiona mcewen

Fiona McEwen

Dr Fiona McEwen's background is in developmental psychology, mental health, and neuroscience.

Her research focuses on mental health in war-affected and displaced populations, including evaluation of psychological interventions; how culture and the context of displacement impact assessment, treatment, and prognosis of mental health problems; and how the impact of trauma may influence further cycles of violence.

Claudinei biazoli

Claudinei Biazoli

Dr Biazoli is a psychiatrist and neuroscientist at the Universidade Federal do ABC, Brazil.

He investigates how the interplay between multiple biological, psychological and social factors causes mental health problems, particularly of children and young people living and migrating between countries in the Global South.

Andrew may

Andrew May

Dr Andrew May is a postdoctoral fellow with research interests in environmental sensitivity, mental health, minority stress, and childhood development.

He holds a PhD in psychology and a Masters in human genetics from the University of the Witwatersrand (South Africa).

Annisha

Annisha Attanayake

Annisha Attanayake is a research assistant working with Michael Pluess's research group on the Global Mental Health Website.

Her research interests include developmental psychology, neuropsychology, and the cross-cultural aspects of mental health, specifically how mental health and interventions are understood and applied across different global contexts.

She holds a first-class BSc (Hons) in Psychology with a Professional Placement from Durham University.
